Jenny had landed her ship in an alley way in London. She concealed her ship before she stepped out and she smiled. She was happy to be out of Messaline, and onto new worlds, and she remembered hitting the wormhole and ending up here, but she didn’t mind. She knew she would never see her friends from Messaline again, or she figured she wouldn’t but that was fine. Jenny had walked down the alley way and was now in the centre of shops.
Jenny looked through all the windows, happily. She loved being free and exploring this new world, one she had spent more time in than any other world, and she loved it. Jenny had looked at all the people around her. She figured, from what she observed, that some of them were going to work, or enjoying the day with a loved one. Jenny wished that she was able to regenerate sooner so that she could have caught the Doctor, her father, before he left. The thought saddened her. She put her hand over one of her hearts and she made a face. She can still feel the pain from the bullet that had pierced it.
Jenny just continued to walk. She remembered her father, and Donna and Martha. They were strange to her when she first met them but later learned why. Jenny continued down the street and she smiled when she reached a park. Jenny walked into the park and sat underneath a shady tree. It was sunny out and the shade felt nice to her. Jenny leaned against the tree and looked up at the clouds in the sky.

Well, no rest for the weary. Not in London, anyway. Martha Jones was working with the London crowd when their scanners detected what seemed to be a kind of wormhole in the middle of the city. Martha decided to go with them because she was curious in case of casualties.
Of course, by the time they arrived, their instruments were telling them that it had closed. However, that didn't preclude the possibility that something had come through before it closed, so UNIT was going to conduct a survey of the area.
Martha, feeling somewhat at loose ends in the tech-van, stepped out for some fresh air. She was on the 'outskirts' of the little envoy and at the gates of nearby park when a blonde caught her eye.
She shook her head. No, it can't be! "Jenny?!?" she cried out, earning several looks, though when they decided Jenny looked human, they went back to what they were doing.

Jenny smiled under the tree, looking at the clouds, thinking of what shapes they looked like. Then something caught her ear rather than her eye. She looked around. Someone had infact called her name. the blonde girl stood up and saw a friend, not just any friend, Martha Jones. Jenny smiled as she ran over to the young dark haired woman.
Jenny smiled to Martha and she then said “Martha! Its so good to see you again!” Jenny laughed hugging Martha. She missed her and Donna, but mostly her father. Jenny just could not get the smile off of her face. She just couldn’t believe that she was standing here with Martha, someone she thought she would never see again.
“how have you been since I last saw you?” Jenny asked her curiously. She remembered her death and she hoped that it didn’t affect Martha badly. She still wished they stayed a little while longer, then this whole mess wouldn’t have happened.

Martha was beyond overjoyed when Jenny jumped into her arms. She was definitely real! Not only was this great news for the Doctor, but also, proof, actual proof that being with the Doctor created something.
“Martha! Its so good to see you again!”
"To see me?" she laughed, hugging tight. "You were dead!" She took a good look at the woman before her. "You're ok, yeah? I mean, no side effects? You didn't regenerate, anyway," she added, somewhat forlornly, remembering how the Doctor waited and the devastated look on his face when she didn't.
“How have you been since I last saw you?”
"Well, I'm ok, working with UNIT," she waved over in their direction.
A soldier came out, walking with bloody nose. She did a weak sort of salute. "Uh, sorry to interrupt, sir, but I found an invisible, uh, thing."
'Finding' obviously meant 'ran face first into it'. Martha went over to the brunette. "Let me take a look," she said, checking the major's nose. She remembered Jenny. "Major Woolf, this is Jenny. Jenny, Major." The major waved and grimaced.

Jenny shrugged at Martha when Martha mentioned she was dead. Jenny knew it was the truth, and she then replied to her “I’m fine!” Jenny laughed. “I don’t know what happened. I just woke up, stole a ship and flew off.” Jenny spoke the truth. Jenny had smiled at Martha’s team.
When the soldier came over and said they found something invisible, Jenny made a face. “your not supposed to find invisible things.” the young blonde muttered to herself as she looked at the nose. She then started laughing because she realized that they had run into it.
Jenny only rolled her eyes with a smile on her face. She walked over with Martha and was introduced to the major. She smiled and said “Hello.” Jenny loved meeting new people, but she figured that this might not be a good thing that she was meeting people who had found her ship. She turned to Martha and she then whispered to her “the invisible thing is my ship.” Jenny had then looked at the major again.
Jenny didn’t know what was going to happen now. She didn’t know who UNIT was, or what they did for that matter. Jenny wondered if she would be in some kind of trouble. She hadn’t been on earth long, and she was still trying to learn as much as she possibly could about the humans. Looking at Martha and to the major again, Jenny just stood there in silence now.

“I’m fine!” Jenny laughed. “I don’t know what happened. I just woke up, stole a ship and flew off.”
Martha gave her a crooked smile at the reply. Her father's daughter.
"Hello,"
"Hi. Don't laugh at me," Major Woolf added, probably meaning to sound vaguely threatening, but the effect was ruined by her pout and embarrassment at her injury. Really the woman would have appreciated some sympathy, rather than giggles, thankyouverymuch.
“the invisible thing is my ship.”
"It's not broken," Martha declared, her expression looking sheepish at Jenny's confession.
Woolf grabbed a tissue from a pocket, frowning in suspicion at the pair. "Danks."
"Jenny's the Doctor's daughter," Martha explained. "You, ah, just 'nosed' out her ship."
With a scowl, Woolf checked her tissue. Most of the bleeding had stopped. "Ha. Ha. Very punny," she retorted. She looked at Jenny with interest. "The Doctor's daughter? Huh. Ok, then. Wan' us to put it in a safe place, ma'am? So, uh, people don't, ah, run into it," she explained with a self-aware smile, giving her tissue a little wave. "Then you can pick it up when ya need it."

Jenny smiled at Martha and she then turned to the major and made a sympathetic look come upon her face. She watched the major and she still had her smile on her face. She didn’t think that anyone would ever find her ship. “sorry.” Jenny shrugged and she looked at the majors nose.
Jenny just listened to Martha announce that Jenny was the Doctors daughter. She looked at her, then to Major Woolf and she then said “sorry again about your nose.” Jenny said sympathetically. Jenny took a deep breath and she let it out. Jenny made a face when the major said the Doctors daughter. Jenny smiled at her offer and she then said “sure, that would save more noses.” Jenny smiled.
Jenny was curious. She still didn’t know what UNIT really was. Jenny had looked at them and she then asked “so what is UNIT? Are you military?” Jenny looked at the van and everyone else around. They were all wearing uniforms, kind of like the ones back at her home Messaline. Jenny wondered if any of them have seen her father. She really missed him more than she thought and now being here with Martha makes her miss everyone she knew. Jenny never really realized how alone she really was.

“sorry.”
The major didn't look all that convinced at the other woman's apology.
“sure, that would save more noses.”
"I'll go take care of that now, Doctor Jones," the major volunteered, moving off when Martha nodded, muttering something under her breath.
“so what is UNIT? Are you military?”
"Sometimes I wonder," Martha replied, with amusement. "Most of the time. I... think the job attracts a certain... type. I suppose it's understandable. Aliens aren't exactly accepted here.
"It's UNIT. UNified Intelligence Taskforce. Used to be United Nations Intelligence Taskforce before we gain a sort of autonomy, getting out of international politics, I suppose. We deal with alien invasions and interstellar threats. The Doctor, your father, used to work with them, in the seventies... or eighties, or something. They're good people, Jenny."

Jenny looked at the Major who didn’t look like Jenny’s sorry meant anything. Jenny just shrugged it off. She really was sorry. She still believed that no one was supposed to find things that were invisible.
Jenny smiled when the major left. “it was nice meeting you.” she called after the major. Jenny then turned to Martha “I am really sorry about the nose.” and she then shrugged a bit.
Aliens aren't exactly accepted here.
Jenny looked at Martha and she made a face. “so I am not welcome here?” Jenny was confused. The major seemed nice enough. Jenny was still trying to understand. “sorry, this place is just really confusing.” She listened to Martha talk more about UNIT and how the Doctor used to work with them, and then she heard they were good people. Jenny didn’t doubt that, they seemed to be doing a good thing.
“have you seen him lately? My dad, I mean.” Jenny looked at Martha curiously. She wondered if Martha has, or she knew someone who has.

“it was nice meeting you.” The major tried snorting at that. "Ow," she muttered to herself, but she managed a half a smirk. It'll do. “I am really sorry about the nose.” Martha smiled at the back of the disappearing major. "Don't worry about it," Martha replied. "She doesn't hold grudges." “so I am not welcome here?” "No, that's not what I mean. Aliens just aren't accepted to be real," she shrugged, remembering her father's ex-girlfriend's declaration that it was drugs or something. “sorry, this place is just really confusing.” "Maybe you should get used to that," she replied, sympathetically. "Travelling causes a lot of confusion, in my experience. Even without the Doctor." “have you seen him lately? My dad, I mean.” "Not since you," Martha confessed. "We'll have to get you in contact though. You have no idea what seeing you will mean to him." Martha pulled out her phone and dialled. "So long as he answers," she added sheepishly.

Jenny said nothing to the major as she walked away. When Martha said she didn’t hold grudges, that was a good thing. Jenny still thought that the Major was mad at her for parking her ship in the worst place possible, but there really was no worst place at all to park it because there was still a chance that people would run into it.
“oh, I understand now.” Jenny smiled to Martha. She nodded. “I have traveled to a lot of similar worlds. This is by far the most confusing. I usually shrug it off though and look around, watch people, try to understand.” Jenny spoke the truth. She had learned a lot being here in the way people acted around each other. She thought the driving was insane.
Jenny had a disappointed look on her face when Martha said she hadn’t seen him since her. “what do you mean? does he have some sort of communications devise?” Jenny asked excitedly. “you think he will be happy to see me? He wasn’t really happy most of the entire time that I was with him because I was the one who trapped you on the other side of the blown up wall and he kept saying I was nothing but a soldier.” Jenny confessed. She then said “sorry about that too.” Jenny had remembered how happy he was when she said that she had the chance to kill Cobb but didn’t. “he seemed to like me when I didn’t kill Cobb though. I had the chance to but I didn’t.” Jenny was proud of herself.

“oh, I understand now.” Jenny smiled to Martha. She nodded. “I have traveled to a lot of similar worlds. This is by far the most confusing. I usually shrug it off though and look around, watch people, try to understand.” Martha shot a sceptical look in Jenny's direction. She wasn't about to claim Earth wasn't odd but 'by far the most confusing' was overstating it slightly, surely. Unless Jenny had been to some really boring places. Every planet had its quirks, especially to a tourist. "We're really that inexplicable?" she asked. “what do you mean? does he have some sort of communications devise?” Jenny asked excitedly. “you think he will be happy to see me? He wasn’t really happy most of the entire time that I was with him because I was the one who trapped you on the other side of the blown up wall and he kept saying I was nothing but a soldier.” "What do you mean?" Martha asked before realising that the concept of family probably hadn't been 'programmed' into her. "He's your father," she explained patiently. "Of course he'll be happy to see you! That old 'soldier' balony was probably just to..." she sighed. "Just to protect you, that's all. Parents... sometimes say stuff 'cause they're worried how you'll turn out." "What are you apologising for?" she asked waving it away. “he seemed to like me when I didn’t kill Cobb though. I had the chance to but I didn’t.” "He loves you," she told Jenny emphatically. She didn't elaborate, knowing the guilt she felt when considering what she put her family, her father included, through, even though she understood intellectually that she hadn't been responsible for the Master's actions. It didn't stop her monthly evaluations with the UNIT counselors reviewing those events, one way or another.

“humans in this era are unpredictable. that’s all I am saying.” Jenny laughed at Martha. “the only thing that was predictable was war.” Jenny shrugged. Jenny smiled at Martha’s reassuring words. They did make sense to her. The only thing she knew was war and he changed her. She remembered his smiling face and hug, then the end when she died in his arms. He really did care. Jenny looked at Martha and she then said “I really miss him. He said we were going to travel together and that’s what I really want to do, travel with him.” Jenny smiled. “what was it like for you?” she then asked Martha.
“for blowing the wall up on you, and separating you from my dad and Donna.” Jenny sighed. She felt really bad for that. Martha was really sweet, and a loving person. Standing here, Jenny could tell Martha really liked the Doctor. “I love him too.” Jenny smiled looking around. She turned back to Martha and she then said “I love all of you, you and Donna are like family to me.”

“humans in this era are unpredictable. that’s all I am saying.” Jenny laughed at Martha. “the only thing that was predictable was war.” "You've only been here a couple of hours, Jenny," Martha replied. Though the predictability of war from Jenny's opinion was understandable. "I guess that was what the soldiers wanted you to know," she said, sadly. “I really miss him. He said we were going to travel together and that’s what I really want to do, travel with him.” “what was it like for you?” "It was... good. Mostly," she smiled mirthlessly. It was complicated, at the least. “for blowing the wall up on you, and separating you from my dad and Donna.” "Oh, that! Don't worry!" her smile turned genuine. "I wasn't hurt and I made new friends. It's part and parcel of travelling with the Doctor, I'm afraid. You just... get on with it." “I love him too.” Jenny smiled looking around. She turned back to Martha and she then said “I love all of you, you and Donna are like family to me.” Martha looked at her, wondering a bit at her sudden attachment to her. 'Love' was a bit strong, but seeing how she was the Doctor's daughter, she was going to look after her. She put her arm around the young girl's shoulders. "Fancy a tour of the city?" she asked with a smile.

“I have only been in London for a couple of hours. I originally landed in Ireland and traveled a bit.” Jenny corrected Martha. She made a sad face and she looked away from Martha. “it was all they wanted me to know.”
Jenny was happy to see that Martha didn’t really care about her making the ‘block’. she looked at Martha and she then said “how often did that happen to you?” she was curious. Jenny smiled to Martha when she offered a tour of London. “sure!” Jenny smiled and she looked back at UNIT. “what about them?”
