"Senility doesn't work that way, Doctor," "Oh, doesn't it?" the Doctor replied airily. "My mistake!" He was starting to feel persecuted, though he supposed the fact 'laughter' seemed to be the preferred option, was something of a blessing, if humiliating. “what are you curious about?” "Well, everything, really. Aren't you?" he dipped his head to one side. Surely any part of him has a healthy blast of curiosity? Goodness knows it managed to get past his genetic tampering on Gallifrey. "Wouldn't you be curious if you had a daughter wandering the galaxy whom you've never met?" Certainly seemed a reasonable reaction. “you promised I could travel with you. You still keeping that promise or do I still have to travel through random wormholes?” "Did I? Well, a promise is promise, after all." "you can come with us. Martha was going to show me around London." "Was she?" he looked at the other woman. "No, that's fine, Jenny. I... family. You know." "Now, don't be hasty, Martha!" the Doctor replied, having no idea why but realising embarrassment (or fear?) somehow came into the reasoning behind her decision. He looked around. "I don't believe I've had a tour of London in this era! We can discuss this on the way round! Shall we?" he smiled winningly.

Jenny looked from Martha then to the Doctor again. She was fairly confused, then thought that they just meant his future self, the Doctor who knew her. Jenny just let them talk, knowing she probably wouldn’t understand much anyway. Jenny looked at the Doctor curiously. She then nodded as she understood. She hadn’t met this Doctor, so she thought that it would probably be odd for him to meet her. “it’s a little odd for me, seeing as I was only around you for a day.” Jenny shrugged. She then looked at him and asked “so what do you want to know?” she smiled.
Jenny was happy now. She would actually be able to travel with her father, even if it was a father who didn’t know her. Jenny had looked at him and she then asked “so how many regenerations of you out there?” Jenny was curious. The last one she met was the one that created her.
Jenny smiled when he wanted to come along to. “see, Martha, I wont ditch you.” she laughed. She wasn’t intending on it anyway. Martha was one of her friends, and she didn’t want to hurt

"Oh, doesn't it?" the Doctor replied airily. "My mistake!" Martha, damn it all, was getting intrigued by the blond. She wouldn't have been surprised to find out that he'd be delighted to walk barefoot on the moon. "I don't believe I've had a tour of London in this era! We can discuss this on the way round! Shall we?" "Oh, all right," she told him, hardly able to refuse such enthusiasm. “see, Martha, I wont ditch you.” " Ditch me?" Martha laughed. "This my home planet, Jenny! I have family, friends, a job and a... fiancé," she pointed at her ring. "It's hardly what I call 'ditching'."

“it’s a little odd for me, seeing as I was only around you for a day."
"Then, I imagine, you must be curious about me, as well," he replied, considering this to an agreeable situation to find oneself in.
“so what do you want to know?”
The Doctor smiled. "This isn't an interrogation, Jenny. I have no list of questions for you to answer, I would just like to get to know you, that's all!"
"Oh, all right,"
The Doctor was delighted. "Excellent! Where shall we go first?" he asked the ladies.
“so how many regenerations of you out there?”
"Ah. Yes, well that is... rather... complicated, actually. As it currently stands... at least, as far as I am aware... ten. As far as I am aware, at any rate. Although, generally, we, that is Time Lords, don't like to cross the timelines. Apart from confusing, it generally plays absolute havoc with the integrity of the timelines. Except, in my case, of course, although the reasons for that is... clouded. At least for now." He clapped his hands in an attempt to dispel his sudden seriousness. "But let's not let shop talk ruin a beautiful day! We should be touring!"
"This my home planet, Jenny! I have family, friends, a job and a... fiancé," she pointed at her ring. "It's hardly what I call 'ditching'."
"Oh, you're getting married?" he asked, trying but not entirely succeeding in sounding enthusiastic. While not against the practice, having gone through it himself, he lost more companions that way.

Jenny smiled as Martha agreed to give him and her the tour. She looked at Martha when she said she had a fiancé. “I didn’t know that!” Jenny exclaimed. “what’s his name?” she then asked curiously.
“I am, like how your able to change your face. I understand, with what you said that it is a regeneration, but why not look the same?“ Jenny gave him a curious look. “that’s not what I meant, not as an interrogation. What did your future self tell you?” she replied to him. “what would happen if you cross paths with yourself, for example the more recent and the one before him? Would it be like the end of time or something?”

"Oh, you're getting married?" The Doctor's disappointment at that news made her heart jump slightly. “I didn’t know that!” Jenny exclaimed. “what’s his name?” She smiled at Jenny. "Tom," she answered. Yes, keep him in mind.

“I am, like how your able to change your face. I understand, with what you said that it is a regeneration, but why not look the same?“ "It's not up to me how I look!" he replied, though even as he said it, he remembered how Romana did have control. "Every cell in our bodies die, but we can regenerate new ones in their place. It's a disturbing experience." “that’s not what I meant, not as an interrogation. What did your future self tell you?” "He told me that you died," he said, his gaze questioning. “what would happen if you cross paths with yourself, for example the more recent and the one before him? Would it be like the end of time or something?” "... Yes." Now that the Timelords were locked away, he supposed. "Tom," he repeated. "Well, send him my regards, of course."

“I’m so happy for you Martha!” Jenny exclaimed, hugging her.
Jenny listened to the Doctor talking about regeneration. She wondered if that was what happened to her, why she didn’t change her appearance. Jenny really didn’t care at the time. She just stole a ship and flew off, leaving Messaline behind.
Jenny made a face. She did die, but she took a bullet for someone she cared about. She knew that wasn’t something a normal soldier would do and that was why she was different at the end of it all. Jenny looked back at him and she then said “did he also tell you he didn’t name me? Donna did.” Jenny smiled.
“so, are we going to tour London or what?” Jenny smiled to Martha, waiting for her to say something.

"...Yes?" One side of her mouth went up, not entirely understanding what he meant. Maybe he wasn't sure. "How did you get here?" she asked. Their two reactions couldn't have been further apart. "Tom," he repeated. "Well, send him my regards, of course." “I’m so happy for you Martha!” The first, a weird sort of resignation from the Doctor and the second, with an armful of Jenny. She hugged her back. "He's a doctor," she told the Doctor, perhaps attempting to dissuade his misgivings, even if she knew perfectly well that the Doctor's opinion was only as valid as she made it. No incarnation of his had even met Tom. "A paediatrician. He's working in Africa, at the moment," she added with some embarrassment. Yes, he's doing good work, but that was almost the point, a Doctor substitute. "He told me that you died," A stab of sympathy shot through Martha's heart. That was probably his first reaction and the reason her (though he was anything but that) Doctor had sent a younger version of himself rather than show up with Donna. Apart from, Martha reflected, that this incarnation and Jenny did look like father and daughter. Jenny, understandably, didn't have a response for that and, echoing her father again, decided to completely dodge the subject and move on. “so, are we going to tour London or what?” "Just let me 'requisition a vehicle'," Martha replied pseudo-importantly, heading towards where UNIT was starting to pack up.

The Doctor sighed. "I don't know," he admitted. He looked her squarely in the eye. "But it can't be good." "He's a doctor,"... "A paediatrician. He's working in Africa, at the moment," The Doctor nodded his approval. "Can respect the man for his vocation," he said, though he wondered why Martha hadn't simply joined him. He observed her uniform for the first time, her red hat suggesting UNIT and her name tag confirming it. UNIT certainly had operations in Africa, didn't it? “did he also tell you he didn’t name me? Donna did.” While understanding Jenny's reticience to discuss her death (goodness knew it wasn't exactly a comfortable topic for him), the Doctor was a little disappointed by her evasion. "Ah," he managed, nodding. Donna was nice. "Just let me 'requisition a vehicle'," "From UNIT, I presume? You've certainly changed your image. Though I'm not one to talk."

Jenny listened to Martha talk about Tom. She smiled. He sounds like a nice guy, someone who is in Africa, lending a helping hand.
Jenny looked at Martha’s reaction to him saying she died. It did open old wounds for not just for herself but The Doctor, Martha and Donna. Jenny still wished that they would have waited a little while longer, stuck around a bit, then she could have woken up and seen them. Jenny looked at the Doctor. “what’s wrong? You sound disappointed or something.” Jenny couldn’t find the right word.
Jenny watched Martha move towards UNIT, and she then looked at him and she then asked “your not one to talk?”

"I don't know," he admitted. He looked her squarely in the eye. "But it can't be good." That got Martha's attention. "Is there something we should be doing?" "Can respect the man for his vocation," Martha tried to get what he was trying to say. "I suppose," she agreed uncertainly. "From UNIT, I presume? You've certainly changed your image. Though I'm not one to talk." Martha looked at her outfit. "Why? What were they wearing before?"

"Is there something we should be doing?" "Ah, no. It's all right. Just... keep an eye out." He caught her uncertainty, but decided to ignore it, apart from a comforting tap on the shoulder. “what’s wrong? You sound disappointed or something.” "No, not at all!" he replied. "Regeneration, dear," he replied. "Why? What were they wearing before?" "Green."

Jenny just let it all go and waited for Martha to come back. She had wondered where this was all going, why the tenth Doctor sent his past self. She figured he had some sort of plan but didn’t want anyone to know. Jenny didn’t mind being with his past self, she knew it was going to take some getting used to. His personality was very different, something that probably went with the regeneration. Jenny then looked up at him and she asked him “so why do you think it took me so long to regenerate, and if I really had, why do I look the same?” she figured he may know the answer. If not, she didn’t know who she would ask. That was a question that had been bothering her ever since he was talking about what time lords do and such.

“so why do you think it took me so long to regenerate, and if I really had, why do I look the same?” He looked down at her, his hands slipping into his touser pockets and frowned. "I don't know... your planet was being terraformed, yes?" he nodded to himself. "Perhaps some leftover energy while it was at it? Hmm? I suppose, you never really regenerated." His eyes widened for a moment as he considered the implications. "I'd... be careful, if I were you," he said, finally.
